OUR STORY
About Soul Communities
CREATED WITH INTENTION
Soul Communities was created to connect like-minded individuals who share a common interest in health and wellness and provide the space for each person to expand into the best version of themselves.
SOUL COMMUNITIES AT ITS CORE
What we believe in...
Fostering a Community
Our community connects those who value a lifestyle of fitness, wellness, and happiness. These individuals are those who empower, respect, and motivate others.
Providing Space for Connection
Our events cultivate an inclusive space where participants can forge meaningful connections with themselves and others through movement and workshops.
Focused on Holistic Well-being
Embracing a holistic mindset, we acknowledge the interconnectedness of physical, mental, and emotional well-being, valuing their integration.
Grounded in Gratitude
We believe in the power of gratitude as a pathway to present happiness and personal growth. We provide space for reflection on past experiences and anticipation of the journey ahead.
Making an Impact
We are committed to highlighting and supporting local businesses. We focus on creating a positive impact on the businesses, organizations, and people we partner with.
HI THERE!
A Note from the Founders
Julie & Tess

We are a duo that both came to Arizona as transplants and looked for ways to make Arizona feel like home. As our roots began to grow, we found gratitude for the spaces and people that gave us a sense of home and community.

The two of us have a passion for connecting with people and businesses to learn their why, and we began to notice how these connections enhanced our sense of community.

The connections we found most impactful were often those in the businesses that offered movement in addition to the quieter spaces that allowed for real conversations.
Meet the Team

CO-FOUNDER
Julie
Julie is originally from Denver, CO and came to Arizona in 2016, unsure if she would last very long in the heat. Before she knew it, she cultivated a life that made Arizona feel like home. Julie's passion for helping others and seeing her vision come to life, led her to a career as a Professional Engineer in Civil Engineering. However, her technical day job left her craving a creative outlet. Julie got her 200-hour yoga teaching certification in 2022, and quickly grew fond of the community created through each class. Outside of Soul Sundays, Julie can be found hiking with her dog, working on her house, or drinking an iced americano.

CO-FOUNDER
Tess
Tess is originally from Kansas City, MO and made Arizona home in 2014. She came to Arizona for family and stayed for the sunshine and amazing restaurants. Tess’s personal experiences, career, and education, highlighted how personal growth and mindfulness enhance every aspect of life. Tess believes that open conversations about these concepts create deeper connections in our relationships. Outside of Soul Sundays, Tess works in consulting. In her free time, she loves hiking, family time, yoga, and good hazy IPA.
